Emo Nite - Not a fucking ordinary Party
Remember the late 90's, early to mid 2000's? I do fucking well. Skating all day, the first college parties and fucking great music. Going crazy to Blink 182's All the Small Things, having the first kiss while listening to Dashboard Confessional's Hands Down, starting the first road trip with Jimmy Eat World’s The Middle in loop for several hours and experiencing the first heartbreak while listening to Rise Against's Swing Life Away. Yeah, it was a fucking great time. Not only was the time amazing, but clearly the music and the bands. I mean, even today, when you go to a house party or something,... when the party is cooking, Blink 182, Fallout Boy, The Killers are most likely the bands that make a good party even better! Roughly two and a half years ago this epic music was brought back into the clubs by the event series called "Emo Nite LA".
What is Emo Nite LA?
The project "Emo Nite LA" started in Los Angeles in 2015. The project founders and the crew behind all this are Morgan Freed, Babs Szabo and T.J. Petracca. They are neither a band nor a DJ, they are just people throwing parties for the music they love. And i guess that's what made them so successful.
In 2015 they gave their first party carrying the motto "Every Nite is Emo Nite". The whole idea behind the event is actually really simple. Fucking great Emo/College Punk music like Blink 182, Sugarcult, Jimmy Eat World and co. and like-minded people who also grew up to that kind of music and enjoy it as much as they do. That's it! If you just look at the video posted above, it seems pretty clear why this is not a regular party. The crowd seems absolutely amazing. It seems like they are all kind of connected through the music and through the experience they associate with growing up to that music. It's like travelling back to a fucking great time. Besides that, the Emo Nite crew also spice up the parties with actual appearances of their favorites artist. For example, Blink 182's Mark Hoppus played a DJ set in 2015, and Dashboard Confessional's Chris Carrabba performed an acoustic set.

Nostalgic as fuck!
Nowadays, the franchise expanded their concept to other cities than just Los Angeles. Emo Nite parties now take place all over the US. The crew stated that in the past two years round about forty thousand people have attended Emo Nite events. I'm not sure what the crew is planning for the future, but i really hope they are bringing Emo Nite to Europe and elsewhere. So, to the Emo Nite Crew, if you read this, please hit me up and bring this party to Europe!! I would just love to travel back in time to all those amazing days, being nostalgic as fuck
